2015 National Gonski Week

gonski_week_png.pngThis year National Gonski Week is being held between October 26 and November 1. It’s time to celebrate how Gonski is expanding educational opportunity and changing lives. In the ACT Gonski-based Student Resource Allocation funding will begin in 2016, while Gonski funding is already improving literacy and tackling disadvantage in states like NSW and South Australia.

With a new Prime Minister we also have a chance to convince the Federal Coalition to commit to the full delivery of Gonski funding over the full 6 years of the Gonski Agreements.

Here's how you can get involved in 2015 Gonski Week...

Make the Call to Malcolm

Let Malcolm Turnbull know he must give a Gonski by committing to deliver the final two thirds of additional funding after the next election. We need supporters across the country to ring Malcolm Turnbull's office and leave a message for him about why he must deliver Gonski in full. Register now and the I Give A Gonski team will contact you in the week before with the latest info and the best time to call.

Sign and Share our Gonski Petition

Sign our petition calling for the Federal Coalition not to abandon Gonski or our public schools. We know the Federal Government wants to abandon Gonski and we have to convince them to change course. But now the Coalition has gone one step further and is considering radical changes including ending the federal funding of all public schools. This is the opposite of what the Gonski Review said should happen.

Add your name to our petition calling for the Turnbull Government to deliver Gonski in full for every child and not to abandon public schools.
