The Australian Teachers’ Union is registered as a union at a federal level and is a stronger entity than the federation of state organisations it replaces. With 90% of the membership voting in favour of the move, the ACT Teachers’ Federation becomes the ACT Branch of the Australian Teachers’ Union.
