Open Letter on Early Intervention Services

Minister Burch is coming under increasing pressure to take a more considered approach to ongoing provision of Early Intervention Services.

Shadow Minister for Disability, Andrew Wall, has written to Minister Burch, urging her to address the anxieties of children, families, carers and educators regarding the closure of government operated Early Intervention Units. As Wall writes:

"The programs that are currently offered to over 300 children are effective, have been developed and administered by highly skilled professionals under best practice models, and most importantly are providing these children with a real chance of improving their lives."
