Permanent Part-Time Work · 1986

20._Permanent_Part_Time_Work.jpgIn August 1986, the ACT Teachers’ Federation and the Public Service Board reach final agreement about the terms of permanent part-time work. This means that, for the first time, teachers who want to work part-time for family, study or other reasons can do so while enjoying the security of part-time employment. This win is the result of years of lobbying going back to a pre-election promise made to us in December 1982 by the then Federal Labor Opposition.
