Protected Action Ballot Opens
The ballot for protected industrial action opens on Wednesday June 17.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) will post ballot material to all AEU members who are school teachers and leaders.
We urge you to vote YES and to send your ballot back to the AEC as soon as possible.
The ballot closes at 2pm on July 10.
If you do not receive a ballot paper...
You will receive a ballot paper from the AEC if you have been an AEU member since June 1, 2015 and you're covered by the Enterprise Agreement for school teachers and leaders. You are not eligible to vote if you're a school assistant or work at CIT.
If you believe you're eligible to vote and have note received a ballot paper, contact the AEU ACT office on 6272 7900 or firstname.lastname@example.org. We will check we have the right address for you in our database. If it is incorrect, we will update it and ask the AEC to reissue ballot papers to you.
Please note the roll closed on June 1. If you joined AEU ACT after that, unfortunately you are not be eligible to vote in this ballot.
