DESCRIPTION:The AEU ACT branch is excited to host our term 4 training event for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members. \nThis builds on the momentum from our August session which resulted in additional claims being included in the Branch’s log of claims on the core terms and conditions. The new claims acknowledge and seek to address current workplace conditions and structures that often fail to recognise and accommodate the cultural obligations\, expertise and contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees bring to the ACT Public Service. \nThere is much work still to progress. Don’t miss this valuable opportunity to come together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander colleagues working in schools\, education support and CIT. \nAll Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members are invited to attend. Members are able to access industrial leave to attend this event.
