SUMMARY:Supporting Students with ADHD in Years 7 - 10
DESCRIPTION:The Supporting Students with ADHD in 7-10 course is designed to support teachers to: \n\ndevelop an understanding of the wide range of characteristics of students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD);\nexplore a range of strategies which address the needs of students with ADHD in the areas of language and cognitive development\, communication skills and social behaviour;\ndevelop specific strategies to help students with ADHD access the curriculum\, and\ndevelop an understanding for the need for explicit instruction in the essential components of literacy in every classroom every day.\n\nThis course will be held on Tuesday 25 June at the AEU ACT Branch\, Level 1/71 Leichhardt Street\, Kingston. \nIt is offered through a partnership arrangement with the Centre for Professional Learning of the NSW Teachers Federation. \nThe course is accredited through NESA and TQI accreditation for 5 hours is pending. \nFor more information including how to register go to: Supporting Students with ADHD in 7-10 (nswtf.org.au)
