SUMMARY:Term 3 Women's network: safety with Jacqui Aguis
DESCRIPTION:The Term 3 Women’s Network turns its focus to a critical issue: the safety of women educators\, at work and beyond. Led by ACT WorkSafe Commissioner Jacqui Agius\, the event offers practical strategies\, policy and legislative insights\, and connections to the support available to women navigating safety concerns. It’s a space to talk openly about the challenges we face\, while building our collective knowledge of the protections\, advocacy and support systems we can draw on. \nAs always\, there will be refreshments available.

SUMMARY:Wear it Purple Trivia
DESCRIPTION:WHO WILL WIN THE 2026 AEU BIG PURPLE MUG? \nThe most fiercely contested mug in the education sector is up for grabs again. \nRound up your smartest\, loudest friends — plus that one person who insists they’re “great at trivia” but has never actually won anything. Together\, you might just take home THE BIG PURPLE MUG. \n \nCome show your support for LGBTQIA+ students and colleagues\, test your general knowledge (and questionable pop culture takes)\, and enjoy a night where confidence is rewarded almost as generously as correct answers. Wrong guesses and mildly unhinged team names warmly encouraged. \nThursday 27 August\n6:00pm – 8:30pm\nAEU HQ \nWear purple. Bring your A-game (or just your enthusiasm). Let’s make some noise for a great cause. \nPizza and drinks provided but you must RSVP so we can get the catering just right.
