National New Educators Conference 2023 EOIs now open

For the first time, the ACT is hosting the National New Educators Conference.

This November, the ACT is hosting the National New Educators Conference. It is the first time the event has ever been held in the ACT. The ACT Branch seeks expressions of interest from New Educator members, which you can complete by filling out the form below.

The Conference is your chance to connect with other new educators from around Australia and across the globe, with international delegations always present. It is an outstanding opportunity to build networks and broaden your horizons, and delegates who are selected to attend the Conference have gone on to hold senior posts in education and the union movement.

The Conference is also your chance to have your say about the future of our profession. It is an opportunity for new educators to have a say in how their schools function as both an educational facility and a workplace.

Last year, the Conference was held in Perth, where sessions included:

  • Voice to Parliament and the Uluru Statement from the Heart
  • Including and celebrating LGBTIQA+ students
  • Building new teacher networks and engagement
  • An international panel with teacher representatives from Fiji, Japan and New Zealand.

You can check out some photos from last year’s conference below:
