Cultural Integrity Award
This award acknowledges a person or group of people for their work in promoting cultural integrity in education.
Congratulations to Kate Perkins, winner of the 2025 Cultural Integrity Award.
Kate consistently embraces all opportunities for promoting cultural integrity in education and supports others to do the same. She shares her teaching practice for embedding Indigenous perspectives in a variety of ways, including participating in a Resource Development Project run by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Section. She has always modelled the inclusion of genuine and respectful engagement with Indigenous cultures, histories and perspectives as a routine and expected part of good teaching practice. This includes providing students with opportunities to develop a deep connection to Country.
