The Department of Education is developing a First Nations Education policy to drive real change so learners can thrive across their education journey, from early childhood through schooling and into post-school pathways.
For too long, First Nations people have called for an education system that is safe, respects our rights, and supports self-determined education pathways. Governments must do more.
The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Corporation (NATSIEC) is hosting in-person workshops across the country to hear from First Nations teachers and educators, First Nations staff in local learning settings, First Nations people working across education systems and sectors, and First Nations staff in youth and education focused organisations, particularly ACCOs.
Recognising that not all communities can attend in person, online options will also be available, including a survey and a webinar series.
First Nations AEU ACT members are strongly encouraged to participate. Click here for more information or contact the AEU office.
